I honestly thought they would look something like Bossk from star wars, but it turns out that these guys are WAY cooler

you know it
August 14, 2017 at 1:03 pm
Its not how imagine them but I think Gnag the Nameless used different types of lizards for the Fangs of Dang.
August 14, 2017 at 1:06 pm
Oops said the same thing twice. 😐
August 10, 2017 at 5:05 pm
What I think is that Gnag the Nameless used different types of lizards. See what I’m saying.

This fang looks more like a crocodile, while in the book it looks more like a lizard.
December 4, 2016 at 8:25 pm
i is loving the ring lord movies
December 4, 2016 at 8:24 pm
only commander gorhm was fat i think but i thought it would look more human like the one pic that their going to put in the movie as my friend O.N.R would say in the words of fligard flomp unexpected.
April 20, 2018 at 5:36 pm
Punctuation please? I don’t understand.
November 11, 2016 at 6:48 pm
I thought it would look like a snake. This looks like a lizard. (I only fought the Grey Fangs and Bat Fangs)

Ewwwwww!!! I Actually Pictured something like the snake things in Lego Ninjago! But I think that this fits the description much, much better! (but, of course, the fang doesn’t look to bright!) What does the stone keeper look like?
November 16, 2015 at 9:46 am
this looks to intelligent for how they are described

I think they’d look more like the illustration from book four, the Warden and the Wolf King… Remember, Fangs aren’t very bright, and they’re lizards, not crocodiles. Plus, it’s hard to imagine General Khrak looking like this, but fatter!
November 14, 2015 at 9:46 pm
In the words of Vilmette Oppenholm, “How awful.”
January 9, 2017 at 8:07 pm
General Khrak was short and skinny, not fat, remember?
August 10, 2017 at 4:59 pm
Yes skinny with BIG FANGS!!!!!!!!!!
November 14, 2015 at 11:45 am
i like this illustration better than the ones of the green fangs in the 4th book. no offense to the man who drew those pics.
May 25, 2015 at 9:49 pm
In the fourth book, The Warden and the Wolf King, the pictures illustrate them totally different.

I always imagined the Fangs like Randall from Monsters Inc (the bad guy) except a dark green…

I like this Green Fang design better than the one in he fourth book. This one looks more evil and lizard like.
July 8, 2014 at 9:00 pm
Horrid yet fascinating at the same time. It still grosses me out though. I like the bat fangs the best, but I really hate all the fangs ’cause they’re bad.
October 25, 2013 at 12:37 am
It looks a lot like a Zorgon from the movie Zuthura. If you don’t believe me try google imaging it
September 3, 2013 at 4:12 pm
Though regular Fangs are cool, Grey Fangs are awesome
September 3, 2013 at 4:10 pm
I do have one question though. is it a snake man or lizard man, maybe both. the books refers to both
June 27, 2013 at 11:12 am
sorry for so many posts about the same thing, technical error

it’s perfect, and if Mr. Peterson thought that the fang needed to go on a diet than he would’ve told Mr. Gerard. But everyone imagines the fang or even a bumpy digtoad a little differently, and that’s okay, it’s what makes books so great, imagination.(P.S. they still should make a movie of the book)

January 6, 2013 at 5:21 pm
this is an amazing secetch, i can’t stop looking at it. i was having an interesting time trying to picture a Fang in my head and all my brain could come up with was a lizard/dragon thing that looked like Panda Express and Pizza Hut had been just about the only things he’d ever tasted… this helped my mental picture and Andrew
Peterson not to regret having invented the Fangs of Dang =D THANK YOU!
January 4, 2013 at 11:07 am
Fangs are scary. This one looks awesome!
January 2, 2013 at 11:28 am
This drawing is much better than how I imagined them! I imagined an upright alligater.

Wow. This makes me even more jealous. That’s just cool. To me, Fangs are impossible to imagine, so seeing them is awesome. I just think of them as terrifying and huge. So amazing.
September 28, 2012 at 3:51 pm
Not exactly the way I imagined. If you have ever seen the Lord of the Rings movies I imagined them to be a more mean versin of Gollom with a tail. Still very CREEPY!!!!!!!!
August 25, 2012 at 4:31 pm
That is almost exactly how I imagined them! Though I see them in my minds eye with a more upright back and hunched shoulders. But it is such an awesome picture! Thank you Mr. Gerard

I feel sorry for the fangs of dang. All they wanted was power and now they’re stuck like ware-lizards for the rest of their lives. CREEPY!!!!!
July 2, 2012 at 8:55 am
That is how I exactly imagined them. Very detailed armor and those cruel eyes! I would definitely feel the way the Skreeans do if I saw one of those things! How cruel!

For some reason I saw the Fangs of Dang as more upright like people, like how the Geico gecko stands up except with claws a head similar to the one drawn, and stands about 5’10”. More agile I think, It’s just a thought. Yeah the only fat one in the books we’re commander Gnorm.
November 5, 2016 at 5:15 pm
i disagree with the geico gecko thing, but otherwise that’s pretty much the same as i imagined them.
May 9, 2012 at 2:18 pm
i feel bad for the igibys/wingfeathers i would not want to be in there shoes!!! and i thought they were bigger and fatter
January 27, 2012 at 10:45 am
I wouldn’t want to be an Igiby!

Brr… a bone chilling picture… but perfect! Ace in the hole for what Fangs look like. But Kreeth, are they mean! They captured Artham and killed Nugget and burned the Igby cottage down. Dang those Fangs!
