The Wingfeather Saga is being translated into Swedish, and Andrew just got his gorgeous and shiny new hardback via airmail last week. Look at this cover! Click through the Instagram post below to see the first page and a map. 🙂
The title, you may notice, doesn’t quite look like it says On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness. That’s because the longer title didn’t translate well, so in Swedish the book is called Mörkret över Aerwiar, which means The Darkness over Aerwiar. The brilliant and conscientious translator is now working on book two.

Today was a good day! Just as I was heading to the airport the post office delivered a package from Sweden. Behold, book one of the @wingfeathersaga, translated into my great-grandfather’s language! Such a beautiful hardback, with an AWESOME cover by @JustinGerardIllustration So if you’re Swedish, know anyone who’s Swedish, or would like to learn Swedish, please buy ten copies. They’re currently translating book two now. Many thanks to my friends over there for helping to make this happen! Can’t wait to get back to the Fatherland. @librisforlag
