Throne Warden of E.
I really like that song, The Crags at Castle Rock. I assumed it was a song about Anniera. I figured it must be the rock the Castle Rysen is built on.
I noticed that Andrew Peterson has a song (After All These Years) where there is this line: “From Illinois to Shiloh to the Warren, to the cliffs of Castle Rock,” I know that he lived in Illinois and Shiloh (I’m guessing that that was the name of his house) and then his current house, The Warren, and I thought it just meant that he had gone to Castle Rock in his imagination by writing the Wingfeather Saga.
Recently, however, I realized that it never actually says Castle Rock was in Anniera or even Aerwiar, and I thought perhaps it was a real place he had been to that he wrote a poem about and he stuck the poem in the Warden and the Wolf King. When I looked up Castle Rock, I found it was the setting for some of Stephen King novels, and that poem certainly doesn’t seem to be something inspired by that.
What do you all think Castle Rock is?
I would love to hear what it really is.

You’ve done some good research already! Castlerock is a town in Northern Ireland which Andrew and his family enjoy visiting. 🙂

Is it by any chance on or near the Isle of Skye? (I’ve heard about that too from his songs and his book and I want to visit it so bad, that and Kalmar County, Smaland)
