There’s a ton of good stuff that Andrew just offhandedly tosses into chapter 15. Here are a few links in case we want to discuss any of it.
Andrew’s rant about the word “creatives” (I might have shared this one before?)
Please feel free to strike up a new thread if you want to discuss any of these—if we try to discuss more than one or two in this thread it might get confusing. 😉

I remember when AP shared the link to this conversation between Bono and Eugene Peterson and I remember AP’s comments about it, as well. Here was my frustration with both. I get that Bono is “suspicious” about Christian music. I am, too. I want to hear songs about bad spots in marriage, as well. But tell me, Bono, why don’t you do something about it? Why don’t you hold a songwriter’s conference called “How To Write Excellent, True Songs That Don’t Come In A Can (and make a living at the same time)”. I would go. I bet some big names in the industry would, too. Why don’t you use your gifts, experience, platform, etc. to DO something that promotes honest, beautiful, excellent songwriting in the industry? To lift up the ones that do sing about tough spots in marriage. Maybe he is doing something like this and I’m unaware. I hope he is.
I emphatically agreed with what AP was saying in response and I just felt so frustrated that he had to say it at all. Shouldn’t Bono know where the good stuff is? Under the surface, hard to detect; turn off your radio and dig a little deeper.
This is why I started paying attention to the Rabbit Room way back in 2007. These folks were doing this work of lifting up and doing it beautifully and I think we can see that it is working.
