Ok, so as I was reading the books, it reall got me thinking, “Wow! There are so many things in here that hold the same principals that I do.” Now, I’m not sure how well that was worded, (Hey, I’m only 13!) but my point is, the way that Mr. Peterson did that was so touching to my heart, and even inspired me to put things like that in my book!
Yes! I agree.
What principles touched you the most? For me, one principle that touched me most was suffering & despair potentially leading to bitterness, then hardening into hatred & cruelty. That’s what makes [MILD SPOILERS] Gnag & the Fangs ultimately tragic characters.
I also appreciated the theme of love healing hurt. Things often do not turn out ok in the books. Triumphs are mixed with shattering defeats & deaths. But love heals the wounded hearts involved & prevents the people suffering from becoming angry & bitter, even when their external circumstances do not change or even worsen.
