What do you think about Kal’s plan to seek out Gnag and deal with him directly? If you were Janner, how would you react?
I would agree to go with him to assasanate gnag the nameless its proven in war that taking out the leader of the army that seems to be the only one with a goal is a very effective way of winning a war. Now they got pretty unlucky but it was still a good idea.
I’m not sure that it was exactly a WISE decision, but Kalmar also isn’t known for making great choices. I understand why he wanted to get rid of Gnag, but I also don’t think killing him was the only way to win (at the moment I can’t think of another way, but I’m sure there was one. That’s beside the point).
I DO think Janner made the right decision by choosing to go with Kalmar. Even though he might have been following his brother to certain death, as the Throne Warden, it was his responsibility to make sure Kalmar stayed safe, both physically and emotionally. Kalmar was in a very dangerous position, and if Janner had just let him go, that would have been incredibly irresponsible.
