Elia TysonWelcome to The Flabbit Room. This forum was created so that authors can share their work with other flabbits, who can give encouragement and/or advice. For more information, or to become a member, please visit the website. Anyone who becomes a member and would like to share something they are working on can send their project to [email protected], and I will forward it to the other members; or you can post it on the forum. If you only want to read and help with other people’s projects, that’s fine too. Also, feel free to post whole stories, or just a few chapters of one that you have just started on.
Now, just a few rules:
1. Please do not share stories by Flabbit Room authors without their permission. Some author’s may want to publish their work on the forum, but those who sent work by email probably only want other flabbits to see it.
2. Please be kind and encouraging (but not so encouraging that you never correct mistakes; that’s not very helpful :)). Reading other forums on this website, I don’t expect this to be a problem, but just keep that in mind.
Thank you for coming! -
Teresa B.Awesome, Elia! Thanks for starting this! Excited to hear some new stories and read some new writings!
-
Teresa B.So, question for you, my good flabbitmaster–
Do you think that it would be good to send another story around soon?
Are other flabbitroom friends waiting to send out stories?
I have a couple of very short stories that go with a poem– they lean more philosophical in nature than just a fun story, and are somewhat complicated and melancholy, but I, of course, enjoy them, and my desire is for them to resolve on hope and joy at the end of the themes.
I also have a very rough draft that I’m not really happy with it as finished at all, but it’s more the genre of most of the stories mentioned on this site (I think I will like it in a few weeks once I’ve had a chance to work on it more).
Do you think it would be fun to send either of those ideas around? And, if so, which idea?
No pressure any way around it!
-
Elia TysonYes! Any time anyone has something they would like to send out, just email it to [email protected]. Can’t wait to read them!
-
-
Elia TysonIf you haven’t gotten a chance to read my book PEACEWAR, it is free on Amazon for one day. Click here.
-
Teresa B.Totally random question– does anybody know how to get one of those fancy pictures beside your name when you comment on something? About half of everybody does… Is it something you log-in to? Or, something else? There was a “log-in” for word press, but, I didn’t see how to start your first log-in. 🙂
-
Elia TysonIt’s a website called Gravitar. Just create a Gravitar account with your email and add a picture.

Miss MaryI don’t write myself, but you have no idea how thrilled I am to see the Flabbit Room up and running so well. I have friends who write and occasionally I give feedback on their stuff so I know how valuable this can be and I am thrilled for all of you that this exists!
-
I agree so heartily with Miss Mary. Watching you guys encourage each other and spur each other on is my favorite thing so far this year.
-
Elia TysonMadame Sidler, this is completely unrelated, but you are the only person I know who can contact Mr. Peterson. On this page in his website, it is possible to download the music. Is that intentional? If it’s not I would suggest getting a different program to host the online audio.
-
Hey Elia, thanks for noticing that. I will check with his manager.
-
Elia TysonNo problem! Glad I could help. Is there a way I could tell you exactly what’s happening without putting it on the public forum?
-
I think I’m seeing what you’re seeing, actually, and I’ve emailed his manager. Can we loop you in via email if she needs any clarification?
I appreciate you, sir.
-
Elia TysonYeah, sure. Thanks for helping me notify them.
-
All fixed! Thanks from Andrew. 🙂
-
Elia TysonGreat! I like the new website, by the way.
-
Me too! 🙂

-
rebeccai tried to sign up.
-
rebeccathank you
i found them
searched by flabbit.
it didnt show up with other emails unfortunately.
so check your spam boxes and etc.
-
-
Teresa B.Rebecca, were you wanting to get the stories via email? If so, were you able to get them?
-
Elia TysonOkay, I am working on testing some new software for the reading and commenting and editing of stories. Please start by going to this website and create an account. When you are finished with that, search for the other Flabbit Room members who have made accounts using the search bar (my username is eliatyson) and follow them. Post your username here so we can find you.
The website allows you to make your book private, so that only the people who “follow” you can see it. The website also allows people to comment, and I think that will be a lot easier than telling people that “on the third paragraph of page seventeen after the word…”, and we can save the long discussions for the forum.
I wrote a little more of Republic and posted it on there, and I’ll get Dragonkeeper up when the time isn’t approaching midnight….I hope this works, and if it doesn’t, there’s always good old gmail. Good night, fellow featherheads!
-
cadwickCool. I’ll ask parents and hopefully can do it. Thanks for setting flabbit room thing up Elia.

J.S.BHey, Elia-
Question for you. I made an account on the website you mentioned as sequeim28, but I’m still figuring out how it works. Can you get a document on there or do you have to type it up? I’d rather put the version I already made up, so I’d like to know.-
Elia TysonYeah, just copy and paste it. Ctrl+C to copy and Ctrl+V to paste on a Windows computer.

Just wondering, do I still need to send out E-mail to the flabbit room or are we now just using wattpad?
-
Elia TysonRight now we’re just doing Wattpad, as long as it works for everyone. If anyone has any issues, tell me and I’ll see if they can be fixed, or we can try something else.
By the way, Cadwick, I still haven’t seen your story. Is it published?

J.S.BYes, I have the first six chapters of my book there… I don’t know if you read it before, but I changed the title back to ‘This Rising Sun’ as oppose to ‘Morning Star’. I suppose I could teach you some Asterian, but most of it is still in development…
-
Elia TysonWell! The forum is now functioning again, after it was kidnapped by grobblins (or maybe it took a vacation). Three cheers for everyone who helped get it back up again!
-
Hear hear!

-
rebeccayes. it could have needed a vacation 🙂 hope its well rested :p
-
M.C. MagruderHey Elia is this the flabbit rooms first summer?
-
Elia TysonYes, the Flabbit Room was just created a few months ago, so it will be its first summer. Note the will be, there, I’m not done with school. In fact, I just finished my math (at midnight, my time) after a crazy day of running around town and meeting with people and then having fun on Skype with a couple friends in the U.S.
Anyway, I’m about to go to bed. Happy summer to all of you and happy almost-summer to me!

J.S.BBrief update-
I just published another book on Wattpad. It’s called Adventure in the Midst of the Depression because it is set in the Great Depression. I wrote it somewhere around two years ago, and it was probably my first finished book I didn’t hate once I finished it. I’ve learned a lot since then, and looking back, the chapters seem so short, the mistakes so many, and the characters pretty boring. I thought you might enjoy seeing it…
It could use a lot of work, but since I wrote it I couldn’t find the time(mostly because I didn’t want to). It is the main reason the Great Depression is my favorite time period in American history. I could talk about it for a long time. -
SwirlyStorySpinnerHello All! I have just created an account on wattpad my username is SwirlyStorySpinner. I have a story in progress called The Triumvirate Union: Ember’s Story. Thanks Elia for getting this started!
-
J.S.BHey Elia,
I sent something to the Flabbit Room email a few days back and I was wondering if you saw it. I don’t know how often you look at it anymore…
Just curious about whether you got it or not.
Thanks,
-J.S.B.-
Elia TysonGot it! I’ll send it out soon.
Typrwiter, huh? Sounds cool, but I could never do it. I do WAY too much editing and rewriting. 😃
-
-
J.S.BThanks Elia!
By the way, I just read through the edited version of Peacewar. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed it the first time I read it. Great job!-
Elia TysonNo problem!
And thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it! And too many exclamation marks!

-
CadwickJust want to say, MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!! Hope everyone has an AMAZING day filled with family and friends.

Caleb StarkeyHello! My username is Belacthelion. I will put my first draft on it now and then put my second draft up there.
-
Elia TysonHello Caleb! Welcome to The Flabbit Room! If you would like to get occasional updates on projects from people who are not using Wattpad and other Flabbit-relating things, please send me an email [email protected]. Also, if you would like to join in our discussion about the Flabbit Room website, click here.
I’ll check out your story soon!-
Elia TysonHa! Just got your email. Just ignore that part of the post then. 🙂

-
J.S.B.Welcome to the Flabbit Room Caleb!
-
Caleb StarkeyActually, I think I’ll just use Google Docs. I was having trouble last night copy-pasting my first draft into Wattpad and so it would probably be easier if I used Google Docs.
-
Caleb StarkeyThanks
-
CadwickWelcome to the room. I hope you enjoy it.

Isaac LoydHI Y’ALL! I’ve just joined the hall of flabbits, and I managed to get an account on Wattpad, (username is Coalflame). I’m a dragon-fantasy writer, but I don’t have any pending books that I am going to put up in a while.
From the land of magic and utter oblivion,
Isaac Loyd -
CadwickJust curious, was the birthday of The Flabbit Room 2 days ago? That’s when the first post by Elia was made.
Cadwick
-
Elia TysonOh yeah… to bad we missed it. Happy (late) birthday Flabbit Room!
-
-
LeeliHi, I’m a new member here, and I have a couple of questions. Is there an age minimum to The Flabbit Room? I write books, I have a blog, but I’m 11. Can I still be here?
-
Elia TysonYes, welcome! No age limits here! Send me an email at [email protected] and I’ll sign you up. Also if you have anything you want to send out to the other members I can do that as well.
-
-
CadwickThere’s no age limit as far as I know. I’m just a year older than you are.
Cadwick
-
MCWelcome to the forum “Leeli” No age limits! We are all fairly young writers here!
-
CadwickI might as well put this here. I while ago I had an fun (at least i thought it sounded ok) idea where we could share time-zones and then figure out a time where we could get on at the same time and chat. It isn’t the best way of explaining it but I hope you guys understand.
Cadwick
-
MCCadwick, makes sense to me.
Im free on Monday nights (I’m eastern time zone) -
J.S.BI’m Eastern time too. Sounds like a pretty good idea to me, but it might need to be in the morning for Elia.
Elia, am I correct in thinking you are about twelve hours different from Eastern time? -
s.p.bGood idea. I am eastern time zone also. I don’t know what day I cude do it on but I can make it work.
-
CadwickWow! Glad you thought it sounded fun. I’m central time.
Cadwick
-
CadwickDo you think we could to it some Monday night at 8 PM (which is 8 AM for Elia). But if that doesn’t work for Elia maybe a Saturday? It would either have to be in the morning or evening for Elia’s sake.
Cadwick
P.S. Elia, if you are interested, could you tell us a time that would be good for you?
-
CadwickI just had another idea. If Elia can’t do in a weekday morning, we could do it Friday night and then that would be Saturday morning in Thailand. Just throwing out ideas.
Cadwick 🙂
-
Elia TysonSo… umm… Thailand doesn’t do schedules. Literally. No schedules. So, I don’t really have a time I’m available. If you guys want to all chat st the same time that’s great, I’ll join if I can and catch up later if I can’t.
-
CadwickOh :'( Thanks for telling us.
Cadwick
-
CadwickSince Elia might not be able to do it and told us to go ahead, do we want to do it tonight at 8 PM central (9 PM eastern)? Just throwing it out, and I think some one said that Monday evenings were best for them.
Cadwick
-
MCYeah Monday nights I’m free I’ll be here then if anyone wants to join! We could start thinking of topics to discuss (on our own throughout the day)! Also if we ever wanted to do a very specific chat time email is an option if thats easier for anyone…just a suggestion.
-
CadwickSo you’ll probably be on tonight? Sounds good. I’ll try to be on also 😀
Cadwick
-
Noah AikensIt’s to late to implement this idea today, but if elia could put all of our emails together, he could make a google hangout. This would allow us to chat with out having to reload the page every time. And if some troll tried to get in by signing up as a member, it is very easy to kick them.
-
-
CadwickThat sounds great to me. Elia will most likely not see this until this evening cause at the moment it’s 2 AM in Thailand.
Hope it works 🙂Cadwick
-
MCAnd hey S.P.B are you a new member, or did someone change their username?
-
s.p.bHey about me being new I am not. On watt pad I am cstis31 but I have been on before watt pad so I was s.p.b. But then watt pad came so on watt pad I am cstis31(Cstis is a character in my book.) I am not on a lot because my book is a little slow but the introduction and first chapter is on ther.
-
MCOH ok yeah I remember seeing you on wattpad! I think I’ve seen you on here before but I didn’t remember for sure.
By the way Cadwick and Noah, and whoever else will be on tonight, I’m here all night if anyone wants to chat!
-
Noah AikensI would like know what your thoughts on baptism are. In my church tradition we baptize babies. But we don’t believe it saves them. Rather it is a sign of the new covenant. Also, once the child (or whenever) professes faith, he does not have to be baptized again.
-
-
Isaac LoydMy personal thoughts on baptizing, are that it is a symbol of Christ dying for the sins of the person who is being baptized. It is a holy symbol of his death and resurrection, being lowered and raised from the waters of death. That it should be reserved for those who have truly had their sins washed away by his blood. (These are just my thoughts)
-
Noah AikensThere’s a passage in collosians 2 (mainly 11 and 12) that correlates circumcision with baptism. That is why presbyterians baptize infants. Not that baptism isn’t for those who profess faith, but that it has a dual purpose for those born into a covenant family.
-
-
Isaac LoydSorry, I was not able to post for a while, I had to do a few night-chores…
Correct, verses 11 and 12 are talking about the circumcision of Christ, which is being raised in him. Baptizing is the circumcision of Christ, the circumcision of the New Testament though, which was for spiritual descendants rather than physical ones. But, spirits are renewed through Christ only, and when they are, then that is spiritual baptizim. The thing about baptizing all babies is that it baptizes those who have not been saved and renewed by Christ, and, it correlates the circumcision of the Old Testament, and the New Testament, which are both different in their physical aspects, and their spiritual aspects. (I’m only in 7th grade though, so don’t expect me to be an expert, this is what I have been taught.)
-
Isaac LoydSorry, forgot about that one important aspect, that baptizim isn’t saving, it is a sign of saving 🙂
-
-
MCHmmm good topic guys.
I find it interesting that you baptize infants but don’t think that it saves them, certainly you can’t just put somebody in a pool and they are saved because of that but then I would be curious to know why you baptize them to begin with. You paralleled it with circumcision, I would like to know your explanation of what you called covenant family.
Ephesians 2 4- 10 shows very plainly how one is saved, “By grace through faith” so baptism itself doesn’t do anything, I think we can all agree on that (if you don’t agree please feel free to tell me why you don’t).
My church does not baptize its babies, the babies and their parents are brought before the church to dedicate the infants and their parents but that is just the parents showing that they will do their best to raise the babies in a godly way in the church. I believe that baptism is an outward sign (a proclamation) of faith (made, by one who is previously saved). in the great commission (taken from the end of mark 16) Christ told the disciples in verse 16: “whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned” So being saved is to believe (in God and that you are a sinful man and there fore as a sinner that you deserve to die BUT that God sent his son Jesus Christ to earth to die in our place on calvary as the perfect payment for all of man kinds sins past present and future) and to be baptized (mostly in the Bible people are baptized right after their profession of faith but now a days we tend to wait a bit). Once you are saved ,like we discussed with our talk on calvinism, you can NOT lose your faith, you can NOT lose you ticket to heaven. the five points of calvinism call that last point, “Perseverance of the saints” or “Once saved always saved”.So at my church once someone has had a profession of faith and has show a desire to be baptized they are. These are my beliefs and my church’s, you asked my opinion, no offense intended but these are my beliefs and I find that they are principles taken straight from the Bible. 🙂
And hey if we agree on how someone is saved and don’t agree about baptizing infants I am good with that I’m telling my beliefs Im not trying to offend.
Great topic Noah!-
Noah AikensPresbyterians are really big on covenants. So to give you an idea of what I mean, Testament is another word for covenant. A covenant is pact signed in blood.
So the bible has 2 main covenants. The Old Testament And the New. The first one is signed with the temporary blood of animals. In the death and resurrection of Christ, God put into place the the next part of the covenant by using Christ’s blood as the final seal.
So the bible has many mini covenants spread through out it that are under and connected to the Old and New Covenants. One of them is Christs Marriage to the church. Like wise Man is meant to replicate that in his own marriage to woman. And part of the covenant the husband and wife sign (under the blood of Christ) is that they will raise up their child in the way he should go.
So we baptize infants because of how much it mirrors Circumcision. Circumcision was not just a sign for the infants. It was also a sign for the adults who were brought into the old covenant. Likewise, Baptism replaces circumcision. Circumcision was a physical sign, meant for the Israelis and the few others who were let in. When God opened up the floodgates through Christ, it was time for a new sign – A sign that would be spiritual instead of a physical sign that was associated with a certain race. A sign that would tell all people who their LORD and Savior is.
So yes Baptism IS definitely meant for those coming into Christianity. But so was Circumcision. The Old Testament sign is focused primarily on growing the model for the nations, while The New Testament sign is focused on bring many different kinds of people. Both signs did/do what the other focuses on, just differently.

-
Isaac LoydOK, there needs to be a way to edit posts (XD)
-
MCI agree Issac, By the way I don’t think I’ve said hi to you yet. so. HI! I read your first post but totally forgot to respond, welcome to the forum I guess!
-
Isaac LoydHowdy! Yeah, I’ve been ghosting the forum for the past three weeks, so this is the third time I’ve actually posted.
-
MCIssac I just read your comment that came up the same time I put mine up, I agree with you and don’t worry none of us are experts!
-
Isaac LoydWell, the third forum topic that I’ve posted on.
-
MCfeel free to post anytime everyones opinions are welcomed!
-
Isaac Loyd🙂 Yeah, I’ve just been seeing the conversations between high-schoolers… So… XD
-
Isaac LoydYou keep sniping me. LOL
-
MCthere are a lot of definitions of the word “sniping” what do you mean when you say that?
-
Isaac LoydXD, I mean snipe-messaging me, you keep putting posts down before I do, so my posts are out-of-place.
-
Isaac LoydI don’t mean that you are hanging out of the trees outside my house with a rifle, blowing my windows….
-
Isaac LoydWhat happened to my posts??? They disappeared. Or my computer is going wacky
-
Isaac LoydYeah, it was going wacky, they appeared again.
-
MChaha yeah I was confused Im not trying to shoot you haha
-
MCI know what you mean and that always happens to me my posts are never in order its the forum
-
MCNoah ok I understand what you are saying do I completely agree? no not completely but I understand where your coming from.
you think that baptism symbolizes something different then I do like I said before its an outward sign of faith you are saying its a promise made by the parents when their child is born that they will bring him/her up in the church…?
am I getting what your saying?-
Noah AikensLet’s See if I can put it shorter…
Circumcision was an outward sign of faith. So is baptism.
Circumcision was also a sign of God’s covenant. So is Baptism.
Paul says the gentiles do not need to be circumcised because circumcision was meant for the Jews, and itself was not a saving act. So this is why we practice infant baptism. It is the continuation of the Old Covenant’s sign of Faith and sign of God’s faith – Circumcision.
-
Elia TysonSo where in the Bible do you see this concept of Baptism being an exact replacement for Circumcision?
-
Noah AikensIt’s more of an inference than a direct concept or teaching (which isn’t a bad thing, we do it all the time with other doctrine, like the Trinity). But these two articles focus on a couple particular verses, and they explain it better than I can. They don’t take long to read.
https://www.ligonier.org/learn/devotionals/circumcision-and-baptism/
Plus the parallels between their purposes tell me that Baptism should follow the dual purpose of covenant circumcision.

Buddy J.Issac. I don’t believe we have met. Welcome. I am Buddy, a writer in training. I go to Presbyterian church that does believe in Pato Baptism (The baptism of infants).
I don’t think that it is wrong to baptize infants because of a couple things. Let me begin by referencing to men who are far more learned in the bible than I am. Now I’m not hold what they say as scripture, but I believe it is an accurate clarification of scripture. So, by all means, lets examine what they say. I am referring to the writers of the Westminster Confession of Faith. I’ll start by reading Chapter 26 ‘On Baptism:
“I. Baptism is a sacrament of the New Testament, ordained by Jesus Christ,[1] not only for the solemn admission of the party baptized into the visible Church;[2] but also to be unto him a sign and seal of the covenant of grace,[3] of his ingrafting into Christ,[4] of regeneration,[5] of remission of sins,[6] and of his giving up unto God, through Jesus Christ, to walk in the newness of life.[7] Which sacrament is, by Christ’s own appointment, to be continued in His Church until the end of the world.[8]
II. The outward element to be used in this sacrament is water, wherewith the party is to be baptized, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, by a minister of the Gospel, lawfully called thereunto.[9]
III. Dipping of the person into the water is not necessary; but Baptism is rightly administered by pouring, or sprinkling water upon the person.[10]
IV. Not only those that do actually profess faith in and obedience unto Christ,[11] but also the infants of one, or both, believing parents, are to be baptized.[12]
V. Although it is a great sin to contemn or neglect this ordinance,[13] yet grace and salvation are not so inseparably annexed unto it, as that no person can be regenerated, or saved, without it:[14] or, that all that are baptized are undoubtedly regenerated.[15]
VI. The efficacy of Baptism is not tied to that moment of time wherein it is administered;[16] yet, notwithstanding, by the right use of this ordinance, the grace promised is not only offered, but really exhibited, and conferred, by the Holy Ghost, to such (whether of age or infants) as that grace belongs unto, according to the counsel of God’s own will, in His appointed time.[17]
VII. The sacrament of Baptism is but once to be administered unto any person.[18]”
I need to go to bed, so I think I will leave this here, for us to sit on, and think about how we will answer it. But real quick, I will say that when we have children that we are unsure if they are saved or not, we are still to treat them as a covenant child, because they are in a covenant household, and have not rejected the covenant. Unlike the gentiles who were told to be baptized, who were not already part of a covenant house, but were baptized as a part of their accepted into the covenant house of God. But the Lord’s Supper, should not be administered, because they have not made a profession that says, I want to partake of Gods grace. Btw, circumcision was administered as soon as someone joined covenant Israel, no matter what their age. I hope this helps. Please tell me yea, or nay, and I will get back to you in the morning.
-
Elia TysonHey guys!
I mostly agree with MC and Isaac. All the examples of baptism we have in the New Testament are people who are proclaiming their new faith, not infants. However, I can’t say that it’s wrong to baptize babies. There aren’t any examples in the NT, but it certainly doesn’t forbit it, and the passages on it aren’t extremely clear.
Oh, by the way, MC, be careful with the phrase “once saved always saved”. It’s mostly used by people who say that if you have prayed a certain prayer at one point in your life it means that no matter how you live you will go to heaven. There’s nothing inherently wrong with the phrase itself, it’s just been used badly. I stick to “perseverance of the saints.”
-
Isaac LoydHmm… I think I understand about what you are going at Buddy, and, this is what I have on the matter.
Correct Elia, the Bible does not explicitly deprive babies of baptizim, but it also does not give examples of baby-baptizim. But we have to be careful with what we use the sign of baptizim as. Buddy and Noah both have churches were baptizim is regarded as a sign of the New Covenant. And it looks like in some of our churches, it is regarded as a sign of burial and resurrection, spiritually, for that person being baptized. I honestly don’t want to miss-interpret anything, so I am saying as little as possible without going too deep. It might be the church’s use of baptizim that defines it for that church, or it should be reserved to those to whom it shows a sign to. But I personally believe that baptizim is a sign of burial and resurrection, set apart by God with the Lord’s Supper, to show that the person has had their sins washed away, and has been raised from the waters of death, not physical, but spiritual.
-
Isaac LoydI am not familiar with that type/part of the Westminister’s confession of faith, so I honestly don’t know what they talking about. So I try to look to the bible for things like this. I mean no offence, this is what I believe and read in the Scriptures.
-
Isaac LoydAnd, to conclude, if the church understands that baptizim doesn’t save a person, it is a outward-sign, and that the true saving comes from God, the topic about the preciseness of the sign of baptizim is not as serious or dangerous as if it was the exact thing that saved the person. There is a wrong and right here, but if a person has been saved, how baptizim is used does not change/deplete the saving of that person. It is a debatable topic, but not something to get worried over about salvation. (We should have a specific topic for these conversations, XD)

Elia TysonThanks Isaac! That is defiantly correct. As long as we all affirm that baptism is an outward sign of inversion and not what actually saves us, the issue is not as important as a lot of others.
-
-
Buddy J.Amen. I also think that even though it’s good for us to debate/discuss these topics, I think we need to be careful to deeper than our heads, because I think I can honestly say, none of us are heavy theologians 🙂
I think everyone made very good points.
-
Buddy J.I have a question regarding the tabs just above where I’m typing, that go from ‘B’ to ‘Close Tags’. What are they?
-
Isaac LoydKK, These are all the ones I know
B-makes letters bold
I-makes letters italics
LINK-makes links
DEL-deletes words
IMG-posts imagesXD, I never actually use them though. The others, I’m not sure about them.
-
Buddy J.Thanks Issac!
-
Thanks, Isaac! The other buttons are:
Delleaves your text but crosses it out.B-Quote stands for block quote, which looks like this. It’s used for quoting something that’s long enough that regular quote marks might end up confusing.
- UL starts an ordered or bullet list.
- Use LI before, and /LI after, each
- Item
- In the list.
- Then close the list with /UL.
- UL starts an ordered or numbered list.
- Use LI before, and /LI after, each
- Item
- In the list.
- Then close the list with /UL.
Both of those are a little bit of a pain to use without a visual editor to help you see what you’re doing. I’m sorry about that.
CODE allows you to do more complicated things which I do not understand. 😛
CLOSE TAGS is a quick way to turn off whatever formatting you’ve been applying (bold, italics, or anything else in the toolbox).
-
Ian G.Thank you! That’s quite useful.
-
-
MChey guys this is all good stuff but I don’t want this turning into a huge thing, maybe we could talk to our respective pastors or dads over the next week and see what they have to say…
-
MCI will say that Circumcision was a sign of accepting the OLD covenant… and baptism was the sign of accepting the NEW covenant…
In 2018 we are still in the NEW covenant era -
MCeLia, I would most certainly say “perseverance of the saints” but the five points of calvinism I was looking at also said in quotes “once saved always saved” so I added that, I personally prefer “Perseverance of the saints”
and I agree with Isaac when he said:
“And, to conclude, if the church understands that baptizim doesn’t save a person, it is a outward-sign, and that the true saving comes from God, the topic about the preciseness of the sign of baptizim is not as serious or dangerous as if it was the exact thing that saved the person. There is a wrong and right here, but if a person has been saved, how baptizim is used does not change/deplete the saving of that person. It is a debatable topic, but not something to get worried over about salvation. (We should have a specific topic for these conversations, XD)”
I think Isaac is right (about the tabs above) I don’t know about the others though try them for yourself 😉
-
Isaac Loyd“Once saved, always saved” Should be a way to summarize it, how does it have anything to do with praying a certain prayer???
-
Isaac LoydA prayer doesn’t save you in the first place.
-
Buddy J.No. But as soon as we ask for forgiveness of sins, and put our faith in him, and him alone, HE will save us. Of course we need to remember that we will only as Him, because he first acts upon our lives. And our asking of him, can my times be, in the shape of a prayer. Just clarifying here.
-
-
Buddy J.“as Him” was meant to be “ask Him”
-
Isaac LoydYes, if a prayer is truly asking Christ for salvation, it means you have been saved. But just praying a prayer doesn’t save you, that is what I meant.
-
Isaac LoydI have a book question, how do we send them in? Do we send it in email? Just share it from googledocs? Or post a link in the forum?
-
Buddy J.You can send it to [email protected] where it will then be sent to everyone on the email list (If you are not on the email list, just ask Elia if he can add you). If you don’t mind it being more public, you can put it in a Google Doc and share it that way. If you go into the Share, in the bottom right hand corner is Advanced. Click on that and make it so anyone with the link can open the Doc. Also it would be wise to make it so people can only view, or you can make it so people can comment on your story.
-
-
Isaac Loyd(Posting because refreshing the page won’t let me show what Buddy answered, XD) Some of the glitches on the forum are annoying.
-
Isaac Loydkk, here is the link to the first chapter, tell me if it works
There, comment on docs.
-
Isaac Loyd(Actually, commenting directly saves the trouble of having to manage a whole forum topic)
-
Buddy J.I know! I’m trying to figure out how we can incorporate it more. I think The forum is good for overall feedback, but getting to the nittygritty is far easier on the Doc.
-
-
-
Isaac LoydI assume that I am on the email list since I am getting everyone’s books 🙂
-
Isaac LoydThere is your access Buddy, it’s only the first chapter and prologue, I haven’t been writing much lately.
-
Vekka YoungbeastHi! Madame Sidler recommended this place for me because I said I liked writing, and I have a couple questions.
The website said that this place was for authors, but I am FAR from an author. (My definition of author is published writer…) Am I still eligible to be here?
The website also said that I had to join. Should I do that before posting here?
What is the general purpose of the Flabbit Room? Is it just a place for writers to hang out?
-
Elia TysonHi Vekka!
What I meant by authors was writers. No one here has been published by any kind of publishing company, we’re just getting started. So, yes, welcome!
You can join the mailing list by sending me an email at [email protected], but it’s not absolutely necessary, you can still post on the forum if you choose not to.
The purpose of the Flabbit Room is for young writers to be able to meet other young writers, so that they can encourage each other and help each other out with their work.
-
Buddy J.Vekka- Welcome! Allow me to clarify… We here define ‘author’ as someone who is a writer, or someone who has authored a work of story in one way or another. We are still growing in our writing and congregate here to encourage each other. We give feedback if you want it, and look for feedback from others, but still do our best to encourage. You are in the write place. I’m not sure that anyone of us has any work worth selling (please speak up if you do), we are all learning, and I can speak for the others in welcoming you to learn with us. The way to join is to email [email protected] so you can get any emails, and send your stories in that way, or you can create a link in the forum. It is just fine that you spoke up here first. Elia, the founder of the Flabbit Room, lives in Asia as a missionary, so is on the other side of the world from most of us. This means he may get back to you at strange times.
My name is Buddy. I call myself an aspiring author, and currently have a blog for posting short stories. This is my way of improving my writing. Welcome to the Flabbit Room!
—
-Buddy Lieberman- Author of The Bookshelf Staircase website, Reader of many books, and Security Presence.-
Elia TysonI actually have some experience formatting ebooks and selling on Amazon, so if anyone has completed a book and needs help with that, I’m available.
-
Buddy J.Sorry Elia… You must have sent in your post just as I was writing mine. When I finished typing, all I did was hit Submit, and close my tabs to go to bed.
-
Elia TysonNo problem. 🙂
-
Isaac LoydHmm… I did actually have the same definition of authors as Vekka, so I went ahead and called this, “A congregation of afflicted writers to improve authorization from mind-blowing conflict to apprehensive hillarity.” Or even, “Fabulous Linguistics and Amplification of Books to Build In Telling Stories.” XD (Its terrible, I know).
But yes, this is meant for those who write, not just publishers. As it is meant to help with writing skills, not with publicity. Name’s right at the side of this post. Also, just to clarify, if this was restricted to authors only, I would be kicked a day into joining the Flabbit Room.
-
Isaac Loyd*Literature (not Linguistics)
-
Buddy J.That’s a pretty good explanation of what we are!
-
-
-
Sabina B.Hi Flabbits! I am new and am so exited to be in contact with other young writers! I have a poem I was hoping to submit to be added to the Flabbit website but I wasn’t sure if I should copy paste it to a message or email it. Which way would work better?
-Sabina appreciator of the strange, neat, and or the funny
-
Buddy J.Hey Sabina!
I am Buddy, Author of TheBookshelfStaircase.wordpress.com, Reader of many books, and Security Presence. I’m excited to see you here, and welcome you with most joyousness!
To submit your poem, please send it to [email protected], where it will then be sent to Elia Tyson, proprietor of THe Flabbit Room.
Welcome Sabina B.
-
-
Sabina B.Alright cool! Thanks Buddy! I started reading your book with Finn and Henry this afternoon and it is great. I have written one short book that is about 40 full pages long, but 80 is quite the accomplishment! Have you published any books?
-Sabina
-
Buddy J.No I have not published a book, but I have a goal to do so by the time I’m 18 years old. I am currently 15, but turn 16 in June.
And I wrote A Story of Heros in November of 2016. I did it as NaNoWriMo, but only got to 41000 words instead of 50000. That being said, I finished the story, so I am happy with it.
-
Buddy J.Would you be interested in sharing your story?
-
Buddy J.Okay no pressure.
-
-
-
Sabina BWell, maybe. The thing is that it is based on a music album and the names of the chapters are the names of the songs so I might have to change that if I were to share it online. But, yeah, maybe. 🙂
-Sabina
-
Noah AikensWelcome!
No pressure about posting it. But if you were going to, then don’t worry. Your writing based off of an album or anything else under copyright is almost always considered a derivative work (though depending on what your genre and purpose is of writing, it might be considered purely your own work). Which means that though you won’t be able to monetize (publish for sale, enable ads for your benefit, etc.) that specific work, you can put it on any platform as long as you don’t benefit monetarily from it.
So in short you’re fine. Looking forward to hearing from you!
-
Sabina B.Wow, that was really precise and good to know, thanks! Then yeah probably, but I might wait a couple days. Not that it isn’t ready but this is my first day and I kind of feel like I am bugging who ever gets the email address Buddy said to write to. I just don’t want to start off with being annoying to the head flabbits on my first day if you know what I mean. Any way, thanks for the welcome, Noah. Just to warn you, I am a pretty crazy person, (in a good way…… I think) and you just might find some interesting things in my book. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!! 🙂
-Sabina
-
Noah AikensElia lives in Thailand. So he won’t get your message until much later. You won’t bother him 🙂
-
Buddy J.Hey, don’t worry about it! I am an extreme extrovert, so I thrive on human interaction. I can’t speak for anyone else, but I don’t mind “bugging”. Also as Security Presence, I see it my duty to keep watch and get back to people as quickly as possible.
If you want, you can put it in a Google Doc, and share the link here on the forum. I can open a topic for it, and give you any info you need to work the Google Doc (I have no idea how computery you are, so if you need help with anything, I am pretty versed with computers, and so is Elia).
Crazy is super cool! Some of us thrive on crazy.

-Buddy Lieberman- Author of TheBookshelfStaircase.wordpress.com, Reader of many books, and Security Presence.

-
Sabina B.Oh, Thailand, that makes since. I am an American living in Europe so I totally get how time difference can be a pain. Thanks for the offer, Buddy, but I am pretty good at computers so I should be able to handle the first part. Sure! If you want to make a topic for it that would be sooo cool! Here is the link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1eReOZR3bxu8dVyijpMTXfJBDL_DKpalGOH59sRex1Mo/edit (I hope this is what you were hoping for)
-
Buddy J.Oh cool! What country?
-
-
Sabina B.Oooops, wrong link. Here is the real one: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1eReOZR3bxu8dVyijpMTXfJBDL_DKpalGOH59sRex1Mo/edit?usp=sharing
-
Sabina B.Hey Buddy,
I am sorry I can’t tell you. My parents have a lot of online safety rules and stuff, sorry again. But I thought you of all people would be interested to know that I am a missionary kid here. You see, I read your gravatar and saw you were a fellow Christian!
-
Buddy J.That is quite alright:). I understand completely. But it is neat to know you’re a missionary kid!
-
Buddy J.Did you draw your own profile pic?
-
-
-
Sabina B.Well I would love to impress you and say that I did but….. no. 🙂
-
Buddy J.Well, seeing your flabbit drawing I be you could.
-
Sabina B.Aww, thanks! I am in the middle of a really long art project. I am going through LOTR and drawing the important parts. Sheelob was such a pain!
-
Buddy J.Oooo, neat! How far through are you? And Is this the books of the movies (some people differentiate, some don’t?
-
Sabina B.Well I have never seen the movies because my friends (and my dad) told me that they were worse than the books and that there was a lot of blood, and I am NOT a fan of bloody movies. So they are based on the AWESOME books! (I love those things!) Have you read them? Any way, earlier today Theoden, the king of Rohan died :(. I have named my notebook Lord of the Pens. So basically started off drawing the most important landscapes, and in between were pages that show a new character whenever some one is introduced, and then another picture of a character when he dies or gets married or something important like that (and on character pictures there is a comment from Sauron just to be funny, for example when Gandalf came back from the ‘dead’ the comment was:”Oh man I thought he was DEAD!”). But when I got to Merry and Pippin’s escape from the orcs I realized that there was so much action that I needed to add something or else it just wouldn’t be complete. So now there are also comics for action parts. Any way it has taken like a year off and on to get this far and the end is finally in sight! If you want I can scan it once it is done in like a month or two and share it.
-
Buddy J.I have seen the movies and read the books. I am a fan of the books (have read them three times) and only watch the movies to make a mockery.
I think it would be super cool to see them, when you finish! I bet you will be somewhat relived to finish.
-
-
-
Sabina B.Definitely! But the thing is it will probably be kind of sad too. Oh and I forgot to tell one thing about it. Get this, it is in stuffed animal form so all of the characters are based on some of my stuffed animals. One funny one is that Frodo is a bunny. Get it? He is a hoppit 🙂
-
Buddy J.I remember the first time I finished LOTR it was so exciting that I was in the last chapter. But when I read the last chapter, there was no more to read, and it made me sad. But as you already know I have consoled myself with reading it twice ever since. The first time I read it, I was like ten, it took me like… Nine months to read? The second time, I read The Fellowship in a week.
“Hoppits” XD XD XD That is great!
-
Sabina B.Yep! I have only read it twice so far. The thing is I listen to the audio book form which is really just someone reading the book (in a really deep awesome book!). The first time I listened to it I was listening non stop and Finished in exactly a month. Then like two months ago I listened to the hobbit and couldn’t stop myself from listening to the whole thing AGAIN! 🙂 Amazing how good books just have a way of sucking you back in! Who is your favorite non hobbit in Lord of the Rings? I love Farimere! (probably spelled his name wrong but….whatever)
-
Buddy J.I go back and forth between Faramir, Gimli and Eomer. So I watched the movies before reading the books (not my plan, but how it worked out). In the movies Faramir just is not Faramir. I don’t like the acting, and he has some morals. Lemme put it this way: You know how in the book Frodo compares Faramir with Gandalf? Well in the movie, he is more comparable to Boromir (only a little more moral).
So it was amazing going from movie Faramir to book Faramir. He went from being one of my least favorites to one of my favorites. And Eomir is a more interesting character in the books than in the movie, he and Aragorn never form that close friendship in the movie that they do in the book. And Gimli, is one of my favorites even in the movie. He was one of the better acted characters (possibly topped by the guy that played Sam).
And it made me so happy that Faramir married Eowyn, she needed that kind of man, and his proposal was amazing!
Eomir feels like a king at the end of the books, but not at the end of the movie (I can’t even remember if he was crowned).
-
-
-
Sabina B.I know what you mean. Well not about the movies exactly, but sometimes when I want to find something out, I get very nerdy. I went online and read everything I could about the difference Tolkien’s books to the movies and I was shocked! Simply put, i am never going to watch the movies for fear that they would completely ruin LOTRs for me. And no offence to any one, but to me the actor of Frodo looked quite creepy! Any way, who are your favorite hobbits? For me it is a tie between Frodo, Sam, and Pippin. There isn’t really anything wrong with Merry, but he has a lot less personality.
(Faramir and Eowyn is my favorite love story EVER!!! It is so cute!)
-
Buddy J.I am not pleased with how Frodo was done, but a lot of people are.
My favorite Hobbit is Pippin, though Sam is so loyal how could I forget him. I really like Frodo but sadly have trouble with him because of the picture put in my mind of him, by the movies. The last time I read it, I made sure to picture him differently. Merry is the balance for Pippins ignorance, so he’s not my least favorite, but he’s not my favorite.
And last, I think you would like the story of Beren and Luthien. It is the most amazing love story EVER! You can find it in The Silmarillion or Beren and Luthien the book. Beren is possibly the coolest human in all of Middle Earth.
-
-
Sabina B.Hmmm…… I might have to check that out, thanks!
-
Sabina B.Hey Buddy, what are your favorite parts of that LOTR? Like favorite chapters or battles or things like that.
-
Buddy J.I like the interactions between Eomer and Gimli. I also like the part when Sam and Frodo make it to Ithilien. Most parts with Faramir.
-
-
Sabina B.Yeah Faramir parts are great. I really enjoy the interaction between Gimli and Legolas a lot. Partly because they are two of my favorite characters but also because of how much their perspective changes about each other. My favorite parts with them in it are: Legolas’s guessing game as he is trying to figure out how Merry and Pippin escaped from the orcs, Gimli’s little pity party when they are leaving Loth Lorien and Legolas is just steering the boat going: uhu uhu uhu….., and also I love the part when they are competing to see who can kill more orcs and Gimli wins! 🙂 But I think my favorite two chapters are many meetings and um….. the one where Frodo and Sam wake up and Sauron is defeated because in both chapters it is like, the world is right! What other books do you like other than LOTR and The Wingfeather Saga?
-
Buddy J.First off, I love your poem!
Yes, Gimli is another favorite, and I’m glad he wins! My other favorite author has to be N.D. Wilson. In fact I just pre-ordered his latest book Outlaws of Time – The Last of the Lost Boys-
it has already released, so I’m waiting for it to arrive in the mail. But if you haven’t read any of his books, I would recommended you read them in a certain order. Read the 100 Cupboards Trilogy and then Ashtown Burials trilogy, and after that, read them in whatever order you like, just ensuring to read the Outlaws of Time Trilogy in order.-
Sabina B.Yes I have read some of his writing! Let’s see I read the 100 cupboards series and that was fun! I also liked his book called Leepike Ridge a lot. I started reading outlaws of time but…… I don’t know I guess I am not the best at keeping track. I mean I read the first book and LOVED it! But then I started the second book and just could not keep up at all with all of the time travel stuff. Any way….. I am glad you liked my poem 🙂 One good book series is called Story Thieves, that I would highly recommend. Right now I have been reading a lot of “Laugh out loud” books even though they are written for like 5th graders to be able to read. They are just so funny I can’t help myself. For instance, The How to Train Your Dragon books are really fun…… but if you ever want to get into a really good mood, try The Mystery of the Origami Yoda. So, What is your all time favorite book (and or series?)
-
Buddy J.Yes, the time travel is very hard to keep up with in the second Outlaws of Time book. But I recommend you read the Ashtown Burials. In fact, all of his fiction is amazing.
-
Buddy J.I have read Origami Yoda, or at least some of (not my cup of tea). And I may read HTTYD some day. My favorite switches back and forth between the 100 Cupboards and the Lord of the Rings.
-
Sabina B.That is okay, every one has different favorite books. What is your favorite part of 100 cupboards?
-
Buddy J.The last book is the one I enjoy most. But I also really like the Prequel, even though it’s not as well written.
-
Sabina B.Yeah….. I love the Rag Ant! Guess what? In the creaturepedia by Andrew Peterson, there is a Rag Ant! I was so happy when I found out! Who is your favorite character?
-
Ian G.As for me, my favorite character is Rags, though my favorite human character is uncle Frank.
BTW, it’s nice to meet you, Buddy J.!
Also BTW, we might want to move this to chatations (I think I spelled it right).
-
Buddy J.I will comment on Chattations, as my answer.
-
-
-
Sabina B.You know I like Legolas and Gimli so much I wrote this poem: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IX6mdmMRYuAjHzHcfC2D6TQ8MEaW1boIkMLBdLw9ELw/edit?usp=sharing (I is a bit longer than 4 stanzas though 🙂 )

MC**Since most everyone will be alerted to this comment since this is a very big thread**
I have officially finished school for the summer- except for finals next week- and this means I will have more time to write and more time to chat on the forum. I just wanted to wish everyone both a happy summer and happy Friday.
Also, I’m thinking about starting a story with a bunch of us working on it together we could do it on google docs and really make something out of it what do you guys think?!
I know some of us are good artists as well and we could incorporate illustrations and even songs since I know at least Noah writes music!
Anyway just an idea but write me back your thoughts!-MC
-
Isaac LoydSounds great! (if you can manage to get a lot of people writing the same book at the same time)
-
Isaac Loyd(I’ve tried that several times and it is much harder than it seems…)
-
Buddy J.I second both of Isaac’s answers.
-
MCI agree everyone it would be hard but I think it would be a fun challenge and I’m not talking about getting all 23 of us working on one paragraph together but I don’t know if anyone wants to do it with me I’m totally good starting with just two of us! 🙂
-
Buddy J.I am willing to give it a shot.
-
-
Noah AikensSchool is done for me too, besides finals. But I am going to be gone all of June on numerous trips, and helping on a large project will probably be out of my ability this summer. I do hope that I will get a lot of creative ideas though. I’ve been fairly dry lately, I think I’ve written only one or two songs that I like in the last 3 months or so. And very few others that I dislike.
Also I would warn you, group writing a book as would be very hard. But if you do get something started I wish you the best of providence. 🙂 (#calvinistlife)
-
Elia TysonGreat idea, MC, but I think Noah is right. Writing a group book would be extremely challenging, especially with this many people. What I think we should do instead is create a world together, and then all write short stories, poems, and whatever else we feel like, and set them all in that world.
-
Sabina B.Wow, I am totally on his side. Making a world together could be so much fun!
-
-
-
Buddy J.Here are my thoughts: If we are to write a story together it would require a couple things. A Director (aka Head Coordinator), whose job it is to make sure information is rolling smoothly between our Creative Teams (aka Writers, Artist, and Musicians). The Director is the person who takes the information and starts putting it together as part of a bigger picture (The Doesn’t have as Administrative authority so much as computer working responsibility, he would have the job of compiling work and making sure everyone stays updated).
The Writing Team Artist Team and Music Team will all have to be in touch with each other, and the Director working out how things will go, testing ideas ect…
Now we could even break each team into smaller sections and really get down to the nitty gritty.
That is just a general of how I think it would need to work, to run smoothly, and I think writing a story together sounds like a fabulous idea! I think it would be a great experience for all of use, and will build us in ways we didn’t realize needed building.
My Dad is a middle school teacher, and he does one act play with his students. The last play they did was written by dad and the cast together.
It seems like Marcus wants to pull together each and every honored subject in to a piece of art. I am totally for that! I think writing one story together would be amazing. We would want to be very organized, but I think we can do it.
If I realize there may be a few roles I missed, but those could be filled in as we go.
I call upon all citizens of Flabbiton to join together on an adventure! It may be hard, it may look terrible at the end, but in the words of my dear friend The Friendly Wordsmith “What an experience it will be!”
—
-Buddy Lieberman- Author of TheBookshelfStaircase.wordpress.com, Reader of many books, and Security Presence.-
Elia TysonYou’re right, Buddy, we’ll need a coordinator. I think mostly his/her job will be editing: making sure everything stays consistent. I can do that, or if anyone else is interested that is probably fine too.
Should this be connected to the blog idea? We could have a new story or poem or something from our world every week or something like that.-
Buddy J.I think editing will be a part his/her job, but if we have a lot of people working on a story together, they won’t all be able to work on the same document. Each writer will have his/her own doc, and the coordinator will be overseeing everything, compiling the documents into a readable text. And like I said we could have two coordinators, but they would need to be in tune really well.
I love that kind of job (in case you hadn’t noticed XD), and I think you do as well, but I think it should be someone everybody agrees on.
Also like Marcus said, this is in the context of everyone working together one a single story. We could all contribute to a blog, but I think compiling our brains into a single story would be such a blast, and be a great team building exercise. It would almost be like making our own movie, but in a field where we all have at least a little familiarity.
-
Elia TysonI don’t think that the stories necessarily need to be compiled… we’re just writing a bunch of short things that all happen to be in the same universe. It doesn’t have to be a straight narrative.
-
Buddy J.I think a single narrative would be not the easiest (definatly not), but I think it would be a fabulous experience, and if there is any doubt about whether or not it’s feasible, I believe it is totally feasible.
I need to go, and will probably be back later this afternoon or early evening. We’re going to a party so not telling for sure.
-
-
-
MCIm starting a new topic on this called “our world” I think it would be easier to put everything on there for now while we work everything out.
-
JennytheFaunGreetings, flabbits!
I’m new here, except I’m not. You see, I’ve been reading through these forums for several months, so if you got the funny feeling they were being watched by someone other than Madam Sidler, that was probably me. 🙂 I wanted to join, but I needed to ask my parents first, which I never got around to doing until today.
Like most of you, I think, I’m a Wingfeather fan, a homeschooler, and writer who wants to use words for God’s glory. I just published my first book on Amazon: Mercy and her Shield. (It’s just ebook now, but paperback is in the works!) I’d really like to get feedback from you guys about the book and advice for the upcoming books in the series. I’d also love to read your various writings and help out with them if I can!
In short, I want to become a flabbit!
-
Buddy J.Jenny! It’s a pleasure to meet you!
My name is Buddy J. Author of TheBookshelfStaircase.wordpress.com, Reader of many books, and Security Presence. I have been called omnipresent on the forums, but I’m not here at every moment. If you have any questions, please ask. I may not be omnipresent, but I try to get back very fast.
It is super cool that you have already published. I found you book, and read some of the snippet. The names are really cool, and I like how you laid them out. I have a few suggestions if you would like them.
Also, when you have the paperback ready, let us know here. I don’t really read ebooks, but in paper I devour them.
As you have been watching for several months, you may already know me, but it’s nice finally meeting you. Elia is our proprietor and founder, and you may also address any questions to him.
If you have any stories you want to submit, you may set a link directly to the forum, or send it in to Elia at [email protected].

WhiteKnight111It’s nice to meet you Jenny! I am WhiteKnight111, one of the old people here on the forum. It’s nice to see a new face around here. I too am a Wingfeather fan, a homeschooler, and a writer. I never felt like anyone else was watching other than Madame Sidler, although now I realize there may have been a goat footed presence around. It’s awesome that you have published your own book! I hope to read it at a point (I am busy with college stuff myself). If I may ask, how did you come across the Wingfeather Saga?
I hope you have found us friendly, kindly, and have not yet met a carnivorous flabbit here amongst us. In short, the Flabbits welcome you!

Elia TysonWelcome Jenny! It’s always good to meet likeminded young authors. If you’d like to learn a bit more about what goes on around here, visit the website (theflabbitroom.weebly.com). Feel free to join in on any of the discussions on the forum, or start your own! If you have any stories you would like feedback on, tell me and we can get it out to every one.
Again, welcome to The Flabbit Room! -
BethelHello Jenny! I haven’t been on the forum lately, so I’m a bit late. (: Welcome the the Flabbit room! I think the only carnivorous Flabbit here is Isaac, who is a dragon. he hasn’t eaten anybody yet, (except for my army) so I think you should be safe (: well anyway, have fun, and be encouraged!
-Bethel Brock- the pelican, book dragon, HK, and Royal envoy
P.S. in terms of Narnia characters, I’m Trufflehunter, the badger.

JennytheFaunJeBuddy J, thanks! The paperback will (hopefully) be up in the next day or two! I also prefer physical books so I’m looking forward to having it in print. I would definitely like to hear your suggestions. At this point I probably won’t be changing this book, but for future books in the series, any advice you can give would great. I went to your website once and read one of your short stories, which I thought was neat and well done.
WhiteKnight, also thanks! To explain the faun business, my friends told me that of all Narnia characters I’m most like Mr Tumnus, so…I’ve kind of embraced that. 🙂 As to the Wingfeather Saga, my first introduction was through my brother in law. My sister bought him the books and he told me they were awesome, but I think I’m an even bigger featherhead than he is now. 🙂 So far I’ve met only kind flabbits and no carnivorous ones…yet.
Elia, still more thanks! I’d love it if you all read my published book (I can give the ebook to you for free in exchange for feedback) and also the sequel, when the revising comes a little farther.
That was a very long post. It’s very likely many of my posts will be long.
-
Elia TysonSure! Just email it to me at theflabbitroo[email protected]. Also, don’t worry about long posts. You should see WhiteKnight111’s. It’s basically a full essay every time. A thrilling, insightful, interesting essay.
Anyway, yes, I would love to give you some feedback, and have fun on the forum!

JennytheFaunHi, Bethel (or should I say Trufflehunter?)! Yes, I’ve observed that if I’m going to be sending my armies to battle around here, I’ll have to be well prepared!
Sure, Elia, I’ll send you my story soon! And then you’ll send it out to the rest of the flabbits?
It’s great to meet you all!
-
Elia TysonYes, if you’d like me to send it out to everyone I can.

-
JennytheFaunThat would be great!

Sabina B.Welcome JennytheFaun! So great to have another Flabbit! Sorry that I wasn’t able to take the time to welcome you sooner. So what is your favorite thing to write? Poetry, short stories, long stories, or something else?
-
JennytheFaunHi Sabina! It’s great to meet you!
I’m definitely a long story
-
JennytheFaun(sorry, it stopped me for some reason)
I’m a long story person most of the time. I used to write poetry quite a bit, but I haven’t for a long time. I’m typically too wordy for short stories, but I’d like to try them more to practice writing techniques.
Wow, I just realized that I interrupted a conversation about the world you guys are making up. I know I’m kinda late to the party, but I’d love to help out with it, too. I have some experience with story/world collaborations and they’re usually so great!

Buddy J.No worries! 🙂
