Tonight Andrew will be live on both Facebook and YouTube—this time with a film screening! Did you know that the Wingfeather Saga is being animated?! There's a short film already (you can find it under "Animated Series" in the menu above), and Andrew and crew are working on developing it further. The short film plays at 7 Central, and then at 7:15, Andrew and our producer Chris will host a Q&A where you can hear more about the film, the animation style, the books, or whatever else you're curious about. (Ask Andrew about his bees!)
To join in, head to Andrew's Facebook page (or the Facebook pages for the Rabbit Room or Wingfeather), or to his channel on YouTube. Click "Interested" or "Set Reminder" for help tuning in at the right time, but also set your clock, because the reminders are sometimes a minute or two late. Are you ready for this?! It's going to be so fun. :-)
Andrew's readalong has been so fun these last couple weeks, and one of the fun results of reading a certain footnote in chapter 10 is this lament, written by a mother and son. They even created this handy, shareable meme! Read on for the full text.
Says, Luke, age 10, "We wrote this for you in our THAGS today. And for the poor, burnt cookies. Thanks for reading!" Thank YOU, Luke and Heather! Readers, note the dedication and footnote. ;-)
O Sugar! O Flour! O Butter!
On whose first stirring I grin,
Trembling at that oven where I stood before
When will return the scent of delicious bakery?
No more — Oh, never mind!
Out of the scorching inferno
A joy has taken flight:
Fresh tea, and scones, and cream
Await with guests ready to eat not with grief, but with delight
No more — Oh man, now I'm hungry again!

Live Readalong update: Andrew just finished reading the first book (the videos are still up on Facebook and YouTube!) and is taking Holy Week off, but he'll be starting North! Or be Eaten on Easter Monday, April 13. This Friday, join him for a livestreamed Tenebrae service, here.
Look at this glorious piece of art! A 13-year-old reader named Sydney made it back in December for her advanced art class. I am so amazed at how well she captured the art design of the short film in such a creative almost-3D-ish way! I especially like the mix of perspectives. This is great, Sydney. Thanks so much for sharing. :-)
This week in quarantine: I hope you're following along with Andrew's nightly readalong! He's posting each half-hour live reading on Facebook and YouTube. More details here.
Walking on Water: Join us in the forum for a discussion on chapter 10 this week!
This week we found out that On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness has made the Publishers Weekly top 20 children’s books! This is a great cause for celebration. :-)
Wingfeather has been selling so well lately that Amazon is out of stock, but you can still find the new editions at many other sellers. Just click here for purchase links, or check out our Buy page in the menu above (filed under Books). Thanks so much for loving these books and sharing them with new readers! Andrew very much appreciates your kind support.
Are you following along with Andrew’s nightly live readalouds? You can now find them on YouTube as well as Facebook.
Walking on Water: Join is this week in the forum for discussions on chapter 9!
Guess what, all! Andrew has a new app that will allow him to stream his readalouds to multiple Facebook pages at once, AND YOUTUBE. Here you go! (This link will only work for a limited time—a day or two—so for other nights, find his YouTube account and give it a follow.)
Get in your jammies and set your clocks for 7:00 Central! Andrew will be on Facebook tonight to read the first chapters of the Wingfeather Saga. UPDATE: If you don't have a Facebook account, never fear. You can still listen in! Andrew will also be reading on YouTube. If you have an account at either platform, you can click the "get notifications" or "set reminder" button to be sure you don't miss it—but anyone is welcome regardless. :-)
Andrew will be reading nightly for a half hour each night—perfect for bedtime reading. If you miss a night or the live session doesn't work with your time zone/bedtime, each session will stay up for a day or two afterward.

Since Andrew's tour was canceled and he, like the rest of us, is stuck at home, he's decided to spend his evenings reading to us. Yes! And he does the best voices, you guys. Tune in starting Friday on his Facebook page!
You can find your own copy of the books at any of these places, and you can join Andrew's readalong here. :-) (Tip: If you or a parent "like" his Facebook page, you should—I hope—get a notification when the readaloud is about to start. But you can also just show up a few minutes early and reload until he gets there.)
p.s. You know who else is doing live readalouds? Andrew's sister-in-law Jennifer Trafton, author extraordinaire and real-live fairy creature! Click here for more info.
